We promote menstrual hygiene among young adolescent girls.
Menstruation is not a problem, poor menstrual hygiene is.
Menstrual Hygiene: Situational analysis was conducted in various disadvantaged communities by ALIVE team and it was discovered that adolescent girls living in these communities lack knowledge of menstrual hygiene and it's been sorrounded by silence, shame, and social taboos. In our commitment to promote health amongst vulnerable children, we train young adolescent girls on Menstrual Hygiene Management with the aim to promote menstrual hygiene as well as instill information and confidence in them to manage menstruation with safety and dignity using safe hygienic materials.
We also distribute Menstrual Hygiene Management kits to young adolescent girls in disadvantaged communities.
We key into the vision of a world where every vulnerable adolescent girl is able to manage her
menstruation in a hygienic way, in safety, privacy and dignity wherever they are.
